Slow Paynereactor updates
Time REALLY flies by, bah. My busy schedule is really destroying some of my plans for this site, I really need to take someone aboard the team, but rest assured, you'll notice the changes when they happen. Until then, marvel at the mod news, remember you get all the important news here, all the useless news elsewhere. Good news lately is that the sites future seems set, so my plans on expanding some stuff can probably go through, I just need some help on some PHP/DB stuff :)
Mod news
The pic is from Jokke_r's Matrix Lobby Alpha 2. It's a pretty fun level, but it's much like a DMW level without the DMW stuff, so a bit confusing, and can still have some improvements in looks, which he says is coming. There aren't any good mirrors up for it so I won't post the link to the file here.
Update: The level section is updated with link to the new version of Jokke_r's lobby alpha.
Quite a lot is happening in the Max Payne mod community nowadays. TerminX has released a beta version of Cinema 2.0 which again has many players replaying Max Payne 2 like wild. You can get this beta version from Levels 4 You here.
Uisor has made a tribute DMW level of the Max Payne 1 map with Lupino in it. It looks dark and spooky and should be well worth checking out. You can get it at Deep Six.
Finally, some of the best news. Install Max Payne. Send away your family. Katana is soon coming to slap us silly with swords and mayhem previously only seen in large movieproductions. It should be just around the corner now, if you haven't got the first version of Max Payne now is the time to buy it and/or install it, this is basically the first TC for Max Payne, and it looks excellent, look what the boys are cooking at my hosted sites..right..there --->
Skeletons are out as tutorials reach v 0.7
And finally some good news for what many modders have been waiting for. Remedy has released the skeletons (bones for some of you boneheads) and some more tutorials including one on lighting. Go check it all out here.
Max Payne 3 confirmed and general news
Most of you that visit this site know that I don't like to overplay news, so it won't come as a surprise to anyone when I don't blow up Max Payne 3 announced with big headlines. We all know there'd be another Max Payne game somewhere down the line, what maybe everyone didn't know, don't want to know, or fail to understand though, is that Remedy isn't making it, sad and good news at the same time. Good in the sense that I'm curious what else they will do, sad in the sense that I don't know if the new team will be as good as Remedy, but probably.
Max Payne GBA is also being released in Europe nowadays, our affil. Deep Six has some excellent coverage on this, you can check out their MP GBA Euro release article here.
