Contest submission updates + Katana 2 news
29th July 2003 by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
I have updated the contest page with some new submissions. There's really a lot of cool stuff coming in, it's gonna be hard to judge a winner and a runner-up.But it's got to be done, still a while left though. Stop by the page here to see what's come in and to compete yourself.

Our good man StratonAce have updated his page Evolution with some boss fight tests from Katana 2. Some cool weapons involved in the fight and it looks pretty damn cool. It's just a test though mind you, all work in progress. But check by his site following the link underneath the pictures, it's awesome stuff.

T-shirt Contest
28th July 2003 by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
I've added a page for the T-shirt contest. Here you can check out the current submissions and submit your own if you are so inclined. There's already a couple of good ones, but even if you aren't insanely skilled you can make something cool, just try to keep it fitting to this page :) Underneath is an already submitted piece. Check out the page, use the link.

Some news about updates and so on
27th July 2003 by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
I have some general usage tips for this site for everyone. Take them or leave them. First off, I recommend the browser Mozilla Firebird, it's lighter, has tabbed browsing (tabs instead of opening a new window every time), is open-source and under constant development, etc. Check out it's page. I recommend you use a browser like this so you can middle-click links to have them open up in new tabs. It's much faster than opening in new windows. Well that was the rant of today.

Now for some more news. Spotted over at Deep Six that Fallout: Guns and Bullets have updated their site with some new screens. They are showing off a lot of new characters and more. Max Payne Headquarters is now ad-free, so get over there and enjoy it.

I have updated our "The Good Mods" page with two mods. More will come, I'm working on it. Go check it out. Tomorrow I'm going to show you the already submitted fanwork for the T-shirt contest. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the newspost after the next one.

Ex-pro wrestler Maxx Payne sues makers of Max Payne - more news
27th July 2003
by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
According to ABCNews the amount is $10 million, and he feels his identity has been stolen and been used by others. Someone needs to tell this guy that his "nickname" has an extra x in it, and that there is no likeness at all, and that it's not his friggin name. Greedy bastard. As it seems he's sued not only Rockstar who owns the rights to the name, but also 3D Realms, Remedy and GOD (Gathering Of Developers, not the man upstairs, although I wouldn't have been too surprised if he sued him too). According to ABCNews, Take 2 didn't want to comment on the issue.

Max Payne 2 Contest
24th July 2003 by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
You have the possibility to win a Max Payne 2 t-shirt, we have two to give out, sizes L and XL, the winner chooses first. So what do you need to do to win? Simply put, you have to make a smashingly cool alternative picture to the one under my menu. I might make it so they rotate, or I just might occasionally change them. The important thing is that the stuff you submit fits the pages style, so be sure to test that. Apart from that there's no rules, except it should be Max Payne 2 themed.

Size should be: 780x105
I reserve the right to use and edit the work you submit, of course with original credit present. Mail the file to me using the link in the bottom of the newspost, Remove NOTHANKSSPAM from the address field before sending, and do KEEP the subject. Otherwise I might not get your submissions.

Deadline is 5th August!

Update:
If you were wondering, it's an Official t-shirt, not some home-made crap :) Also, you might link me to the picture, or you may send it to me, but any way you do it, keep the filesize small, I recommend 8 (High quality) for jpeg in Photoshop, doesn't matter much with gif. Good luck :) I'll put some of them up here as they come in.

PayneReactor is back!
24th July 2003 by Kristian "biXen" Hollund
PayneReactor v3 is here. I'm finally done with most of the pages and have decided to put it public now. What is here now you ask? Well there's a short Max Payne history, most of the content pages which will be updated with more content as we go, the design and everything is done, and so is my templates.

So what's missing? Let's see, the forums will be up ASAP. The modifications page which will contain the best released and upcoming mods updated at all times will maybe come this weekend, along with some fan art pages and a competition. A bit later there will be more elements on the right side here, including a real-time updated poll and a guestbook like thing. So you have more to look forward to.

In the meantime, just browse around and enjoy, hope you are glad to have us back :)
